¿Qué es Hixatan?

HIXATAN nace de la lengua del pueblo Yagán y representa dos elementos que forman parte de nuestra identidad: el mar y la tierra.

Para nosotros no es simplemente un nombre. Es una manera de contar de dónde venimos y cómo elegimos recibir a quienes llegan hasta el Fin del Mundo: con los pies en Tierra del Fuego, pero con una vida profundamente ligada al mar.

Nuestra historia comenzó mucho antes de dedicarnos al turismo.

El Capitán Víctor y Sebastian nos explicaron detalles de la flora, la fauna y la geografía del canal con excelencia,  también nos dieron consejos de lugares turísticos y restaurantes el relacionamiento conmigo y mí familia, de 10.
Vimos ballenas y tomamos una cerveza muy buena!

La mejor empresa sin duda, Francisco y Javier fueron unos guías increíbles, trato cercano y familiar y nos explicaron todo con lujo de detalles. Vimos ballenas y nos acercamos para verlas. Nos ofrecieron cerveza y refrescos (incluido en la entrada además de unos snacks). La embarcación es pequeña, lo que favorece una experiencia más auténtica y personal!!! Los billetes si pagas en efectivo son 100.000 pesos más 5.000 de tasas portuarias.

 Verificada Disappointing cruise!
Although the Beagle channel cruise was a scenic and refreshing one, the captain of the boat just maneuvered the boat without saying much about anything regarding history, fauna etc. He was just looking for whales for us to see. That was it! He did not even want to entertain our questions. So disappointing!

The walking with penguins excursion was an amazing experience well worth the cost - it's pricey but I'm glad that my family and I did the tour. Our knowledgeable tour guide did a great job of managing his group to the benefit of both people and penguins. Piratour is the only tour company that is licensed to bring people onto Martillo Island and from my experience I felt that it was clearly evident that they care about protecting the birds and their environment. In addition to the visit to Martillo Island, the 1 1/2 hr shuttle ride to where the boat picked up the tour group was gorgeous and there was also a very interesting visit to a museum focused on mammalian sea life. Small place staffed with dedicated volunteers and chocked full of cool sea mammal displays.

 Verificada Highly enjoyable and informative trip
Our trip was very well organised and safe as well as being extremely enjoyable. We had a very pleasant 3.5 hour trip with a friendly and helpful crew. We were the only English speakers of the capacity 12 guests and they made a good effort to translate for us. Definitely worth going on a smaller boat than some of the much larger other options.

Tome este tour porque es un barco pequeño y la experiencia es más personalizada, debido al mal clima me enviaron a un barco más grande donde la experiencia no es lo más agradable con 200 personas más abordo. Además las personas del tour al que me terminaron enviando habían pagado mucho menos de lo que yo pagué. El tour describía cafetería abordo y cerveza local, en el barco en el que fui esto era cobrado y muy caro. No reserves este tour si hay mal clima o te enviaran en un barco sin buena experiencia

We did this excursion with Yate Tango back in August and it was by far one of the best experiences that we have done! I had done some research and many blogs/reviews had recommended doing a smaller, more intimate tour than the larger, more commercial tours - they weren't wrong! There were about 10 of us on this excursion which made it much more personal and engaging. The team were very friendly and gave us facts and information throughout the trip, including interesting stories about the wildlife that can be found in Canal Beagle, the history of the Chilean/Argentinian border, and all of the different sights you can see during the excursion. Throughout, we were offered a variety of different drinks, ranging from local beer to coffee/hot chocolate. Overall, I would thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Ushuaia as the views are stunning, the team are great and it is definitely worth the price!
